Ulmus wallichiana is a species of Himalayan elm, also known as the Kashmir elm, which is native to the western Himalayas, including the Kashmir region. It is a multipurpose tree valued for its medicinal properties (such as for bone fractures) and for its timber and fodder for livestock, which has led to its overexploitation and classification as a vulnerable species. The tree grows at altitudes between 1800 and 3000 meters in moist ravines and temperate forests.
