Seeds from Hiroshima atomic bomb ‘survivor trees’ planted at Kashmir

Ginkgo biloba, also known as the Maidenhair Tree, is one of the oldest living tree species in the world. Native to China, it is now being cultivated in parts of India, especially in cool-temperate regions like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka,  and Uttarakhand, due to its high medicinal and economic value.
